Raspberry

This is Raspberry, the world’s most famous turtle... well, behind Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello. Raspberry is a goodwill ambassador for the Seacoast Science Center and for almost thirty years, he’s been helping kids of all ages explore, discover and appreciate nature on the New Hampshire Seacoast.

As always, feel free to use as a coloring sheet—I’d love to see what you do. And if you’re so inclined, please share.

Stay safe!

Snakes

Coronavirus Animal Scapegoat Coloring Pages (2 of 4)

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?

Early reports linked the current coronavirus pandemic to snakes, but scientists consider that unlikely. The probable source is a mammal, not a reptile. So, there’s no need to fear that a snake will infect you with the coronavirus. Just keep fearing snakes because they’re, well, snakes.

Feel free to download and color these cobras. Lots of people (young and old) find coloring helps them chill. Share this post if you like and, if you do color these two, I’d love to see your work!

The Pangolin

Coronavirus Animal Scapegoat Coloring Pages (1 of 4)

Squier_pangolin.jpg

The peace-loving pangolin is a mammal that lives in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Some people call it a scaly anteater—but don’t! The Pangolin will take offense, roll into a ball, and play dead.

Sadly, these shy creatures are threatened by poaching; their scales are used in some folk medicines. The pangolin’s protective scales are made of keratin—the same material in human fingernails. So, people should stop poaching pangolins for medicine and start using nail clippings instead.

Feel free to download and color this page. Lots of people (young and old) find coloring to be fun and meditative. Please share this post and, if you do color this pangolin, I’d love to see it!

Stay safe!
